Mission

• Working in collaboration with relevant government and nongovernment agencies, MCDO unites organizations, individuals and communities in Somali Region and other regions of Ethiopia.

• To capacitate the vulnerable groups in the communities through supporting women, children, youth and aged people.

• To alleviate poverty through livelihood, food security of poor mothers and their children, and promote provision of clean water as well as basic social services.

• To eliminate all harmful traditional practices in the communities through advocacy at all levels.

• To provide support, build capacity, and integrate individuals into mainstream society who have traditionally been suppressed in personal, social, political and economical domains.

• To environmental protection through community mobilization and sensitization.
